On Sept.24th, Evergrande 2018 World Snooker China Championship kicked off in Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Gymnasium where leaders and guests were present at the Opening Ceremony, including Liu Chunsheng, Vice Secretary-General of CBSA, Wu Minchun, Deputy Director of Administration of Sports of Guangzhou Municipality, Fu Zesheng, Chairman of WSF, etc.
 
The 2018 World Snooker China Championship, with a total prize of 725,000 pounds, is recognized as an international A-class event, hosted by the Small Sports Center of General Administration of Sport of China, Administration of Sports of Guangdong Province, World Snooker Federation, co-organized by Administration of Sports of Guangzhou Municipality, and organized by Evergrande Group. It has drawn the world's strongest 72 contestants and covered more than 100 countries and regions via media communication.
